Day 17 of #MyJune30

Locks of Love, Boston. I found this chainlink fence full of padlocks while making my way back from Fenway Park; It’s located along the Massachusetts Ave overpass (map below). The idea behind these fences is that you’d write the name of your loved one on a lock, lock it up, and toss the key into the (what is typically) water below. In this case, Interstate 90 is below, so hopefully people aren’t throwing their keys down onto traffic.

Among all the locks on this fence in Boston, this one caught my eye because of the neon green heart locked in.

This image was shot using the Sony α6000 mirrorless camera with an adapted Minolta Rokkor 50mm f/1.7 lens.

Rural Douglas County

This tired fence post sits outside of a small farm in rural Douglas Co, KS. For processing, I chose to go with a painterly look. This was accomplished with Topaz Lab’s Impression plug-in. It was also ran through the NIK Collection’s Color Efex Pro for styling, before being impressed.
