Another image from my recent trip to Boston. This was taken outside of Fenway Park, the oldest major league ballpark in the country that is currently in use. I really like the effect of long exposures with people and I often times use a neutral density filter to extend the exposure time. An ND filter is like a pair of sunglasses for your lens.
Day 18 of #MyJune30
Today’s image was taken on my first night in Boston. After I had checked-in to my hotel and grabbed something to eat, I wondered out, not sure where I’d end up. There was a lot of people and a flurry of activity just up the street from my hotel. I shortly realized the Red Sox were playing soon. I knew the park wasn’t too far from my room, so I decided to follow the crowd a little. Since I was carrying a camera bag and tripod, I didn’t want to get mixed into too large of a crowd, so I waited until after the game started to get down by the gate.
It was really fun to see the oldest ballpark in the country that is currently in use by an MLB team. The stadium is so small and I’m sure it’s packed every night. I really wanted to go in to see the Green Monster, and I almost did, but the call of my camera was too great and there were so many things to photograph on my short trip, so I kept on moving.
