Talked Out

Talked Out

Day 24 of #MyJune30

Today’s image was taken yesterday in the alley behind the Jazzhaus in Lawrence, KS. It is quite a colorful painting on white, but I decided to go monochrome and jack up the contrast. I like it because it is raw and minimal…open to anything from here on out.

Day 15 of #MyJune30

I’m on a business trip in Boston and found a firebox on the side of a downtown street feeling the same as I do without my wife and daughter with me. I think this is the first time I’ve been away from both of them at the same time. Thanks goodness for video calling 🙂

Day 9 of #MyJune30

The hotdog vendor located at 9th and Mass in Lawrence, KS, makes a couple sales during the last day of the 2016 Busker Festival.

Keeping with yesterday’s black and white street photo theme, this one is a little more of the same, but with a wider lens. I am not too thrilled with the quality of this particular lens, but I didn’t pay for it, so what’evs. This was processed using Silver Efex Pro from the FREE Google Nik Collection. Download it today and give it a go! They can be used as stand-alone software, but I’d suggest using them as plug-ins with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, or Lightroom. Let me know if you need any help setting them up or using them!

Dot the Mime

Day 8 of #MyJune30

A couple weeks ago, at the farmer’s market, Dot the Mime was gearing up for the Busker Festival by making balloon animals for kids. It was really fun to watch her work, without saying a word, of course.

I really love street photography processed in black and white, so I thought this would be a good candidate. I chose to go with a lot of contrast to bring out the blacks and whites; for some reason, that just says ‘mime’ to me. This was processed using Silver Efex Pro from the FREE Google Nik Collection. Download it today and give it a go! They can be used as stand-alone software, but I’d suggest using them as plug-ins with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, or Lightroom.
